Job Description:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our customer based in Fradley Park, Lichfield on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding distribution business.
The role will predominantly be based in the Fradley park site, however the successful applicant will be required cover several sites nationwide, and may require overnight stays at times if training on multiple days is required in the same location. Expenses and travel will be subsidised by the company.
Position: MHE/Operational Trainer
Reporting to: Warehouse Operations Manager
Based at: Lichfield Warehouse
Job Purpose
The Operational Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training on the safe and effective use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) across all sites, provide ongoing training in all aspects of Warehouse operation processes and keep training records, via our digital training platform (Reeyze), to a high standard.

Deliver both theory-based and practical training for a variety of MHE types.
Assess operator competence through structured evaluations and practical assessments.
Maintain accurate training records, issue certification, and manage license renewal schedules. Via I Site (Toyota portal) and Reelze (digital training portal)
Conduct MHE induction training for new starters and refresher sessions for existing employees.
Monitor MHE use across the site and report unsafe practices or non-compliance.
Update and adapt training materials to reflect changes in equipment or legislation.
Promote adherence to Health & Safety standards and company procedures in all MHE operations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse safety and efficiency.
Provide and document training in all operational areas of the Warehouse; Goods In, Pick Pack, Goods Out, Manual Handling etc.
Work alongside Health & Safety Officer and Shift Managers to identify and deliver, documented training.
The location of the role will be based out of the site in Litchfield. This role will cover all sites throughout the country and may require overnight stays at times if training on multiple days is required in the same location.

Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential
Recognized MHE Instructor Qualification (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, or NPORS).
Proven experience operating and training on MHE.
Excellent communication, observation, and instructional skills.
Ability to manage training records and produce clear documentation.
Desirable
Previous experience working in a large-scale logistics or warehouse operation.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital training records.
H&S Awareness
Strong understanding of warehouse safety legislation and best practices.
