Job Overview
We are seeking an experience forklift operative to join our team working for our customer on Fradley park, Lichfield.
The working hours are 10:00-18:30 Monday to Friday on a long term basis
Responsibilities
Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling at all times.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move products within the facility.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform basic repairs as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications
A valid forklift licence is essential. This must be accredited, not in house unless it states ITSARR or RTITB on the certificate.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
Proficiency in materials handling techniques to ensure safe movement of goods.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
Experience operating forklifts is essential.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all tasks performed.
