Barista

Location: Lichfield

Rate: £ 11.50 p/h

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our client’s vibrant team at a new outlet based in Lichfield city centre. This role is temporary initially, but can potentially lead to a more stable position. applicants will need to be available to work weekday and weekends, between the hours of 0830-1700 and 0930-1430 on Sundays.

As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure customer satisfaction will be key to our success. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Experience

Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
Strong time management skills to efficiently juggle multiple tasks during peak hours.
Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques is highly valued.
