We are currently recruiting on behalf of our customer based in Lichfield for an experience trimmer, to join their brand new automotive production facility on a permanent basis.
The person
This is an exciting opportunity for a Trimmer. The vision is to be the world's most desirable, luxury classic electric sports car brand, creating the most exquisitely addictive electric drive classic sports cars. We fuse electric drive technology, time honoured craftsmanship and beautiful styling to produce some of the world’s most interesting electric drive vehicles. The combination of British heritage, a unique drive and modern technology makes our cars truly special as well as providing a luxurious and comfortable place to be. In our state-of-the-art facility we are looking for individuals with a passion and energy to strive to achieve the highest standards in everything they do. We are seeking a committed trimmer/ machinist to join the team.
Key responsibilities
To trim interior soft trim components.
Refer to build sheets, collect appropriate materials and components.
Prepare material and substrates for trimming e.g. prepare panels with appropriate foam, visually inspect all parts /reject for sewing defects/leather scars/flaws, colour match etc.
Trim material to produce finished interior trim and seats to specified requirements.
Contribute to the flexibility and effectiveness of the Trim team.
Maintain housekeeping standards to demonstrate a pro-active approach
Achieve quality trimmed parts within cycle time
Experience
Knowledge/experience/skill of working with different materials e.g. leather, and foams. Able to recognise sewing/leather defects. Relevant apprenticeship or equivalent experience. An ability to sew is desirable.
Working hours
37.5 hours per week
Core business hours 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday
8.30am – 2pm Friday
Holidays
25days per year plus bank holidays
Pay rate
£31,200 per annum dependant on experience
