Location: Castle Donington
Rate: £ 11.12 p/h
We are recruiting on behalf of our customer based on Willow Farm Business Park, Castle Donington (DE74 area) for an experienced van driver. This is a temp to perm opportunity on a full time basis.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo from the van
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the van to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with no more than 6 points
- No DD, DG or DR endorsements can be accepted
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver
- Familiarity with local roads and routes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo safely
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of the van is a plus
Hours of work are based around 07:00-15:15 Monday to Friday, but can vary.
