Hospital cleaning supervisor

Location: Lichfield

Rate: £ 10.12-£19.02

We are currently looking for a hospital cleaning supervisors to join an established team working at Samuel Johnson hospital in Lichfield on a temp to perm basis.

Applicants must be available to work various shifts to include weekends, shifts of 7am – 3.00pm or 11am – 7pm (1/2 hours break).

Previous experience of supervising a team, knowledge of cleaning procedures within a healthcare setting is essential. Knowledge of portering services is desirable.

JOB PURPOSE:

Plans and organises the daily routines of the multi-disciplinary soft facilities team at the

LRCH delivering a fully integrated Patient Services, Logistics and Catering Service. Day to

day supervision of staff.

Duties:

• Ensure the delivery of a high quality, integrated service in line with national

standards of cleanliness and agreed performance monitoring measures.

• Day to day supervision of staff ensuring they carry out their duties in

accordance with agree policies and procedures

• Assist in monitoring, reviewing and developing quality and service delivery,

implementing agreed changes.

• Day to day work allocation including prioritisation where necessary

• Assist in the delivery of compulsory and developmental training

• Assist in the induction training of new employees

• Carry out staff development reviews

• First line management of employee health and attendance including carrying

out return to work interviews

• Daily monitoring of activity

• Assist in the implementation and ongoing enforcement of infection control

measures

• Resolve any routine service deficiencies/failures, referring to Duty Manager

when appropriate

• Ensure all staff are correctly equipped to carry out their duties

• Act as Deputy Nominated Fire Officer

• Ensure that all shifts are covered for annual leave, sickness or other absences

• Where necessary, form part of the rota commitment and carry out relevant

duties as necessary

• Hold regular team meetings, record discussions and ensure agreed actions

are addressed
